This Privacy Policy explains how AeroTrack IQ LLC(“AeroTrack IQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the AeroTrack IQwebsite and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information— name, email address, role (for example, student, instructor, or school administrator), organization, and login credentials.
- Flight and aircraft data— ADS-B telemetry (position, altitude, speed, and time), aircraft identifiers, uploaded flight tracks (for example, from ForeFlight), and the debriefs, scores, maneuver detections, safety flags, and logbook entries derived from that data.
- Usage and device information— log data, IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and interactions with the Service, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Communications— information you provide when you contact us, request a demo, or provide feedback.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- generate debriefs, scoring, safety flags, logbook entries, and reports;
- authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent fraud and abuse;
- communicate with you about your account, updates, and support; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We may create aggregated and de-identified data from which you and any individual cannot reasonably be identified, and use it for analytics, research, and product development. This data is not treated as personal information.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Within your organization— if you use the Service through a flight school or instructor, your flight data, scores, and progress may be visible to the instructors and administrators who manage your account.
- Service providers— vendors who host, process, or support the Service under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- Legal and safety— when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
- Business transfers— in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
4. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. We may use analytics providers to help us measure and improve the Service.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal and flight information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We may retain aggregated and de-identified data indefinitely. You may request deletion of your information as described below.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
7. Children and Student Pilots
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Some student pilots are minors. Where a minor uses the Service, it must be through an account managed by a flight instructor, flight school, or a parent or legal guardian who is responsible for the minor's use and who consents to the collection and processing of the minor's information as described in this Policy. If you believe we have collected information from a child without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may access or update your account information within the Service or by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. If your data is managed by a flight school or instructor, we may direct your request to them as the party that controls that data. To exercise a right, contact us at contact@aerotrackiq.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may link to or interoperate with third-party services, such as ForeFlight and ADS-B data providers. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
10. United States Processing
The Service is operated in the United States and is intended for users in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy with a new effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
